Though next time. I would recommend using a thinner pen rather than a marker.
I use a Pilot Rolling Ball Precise V5 for my traditional linearts. They're fairly cheap. Get them for about $1 each at stores like Wal*Mart. Don't go for the Sharpie Pen, that one causes splattering. The one I mentioned though makes for really fine professional lines. I think you'd like it.
